is led display and led backlit display same?? plz help me cz i hv to change my acer aspire 4736 lcd which hv been cracked

Yes in general on computers/monitor/tv's LCD and LCD backlit are the same thing. LED's are simply used to replace the CFL(Compact Florescent Light) back-light of a traditional LCD screen. This saves power and space(thin) . With colored LED's, they can enhance colors(but makes the screen thicker again.)

An actual LED screen is used to make giant billboards for adds and such(think downtown Toronto, New York or Tokyo). Those are made with grids of mutli-colored LEDS and a system to control them allowing images to produced by lighting the right colors just like a pixel on a regular screen
