Solved! Is LED-LCD that much better then reguler LCD

Hi i was looking at TV's and noticed a new trend the LED line of LCD's was wondering since im going to be spending a bunch of money on a TV if LED is really that much better and worth the extra 400bucks. if theres any info you need please let me know but these where 2 i was looking at

When you are purchasing a HDTV you need to look at the contrast ratio. The LED TV will provide a better contrast ratio, as a result a more vivid picture. A LED TV is really the same as LCD TV but the difference is that led is either back light or edge lit. I would also consider how far away from the tv you will be when viewing. Another thing to consider is that tv's are constantly changing so unless you are going to purchase a tv every year I would go with the LED TV because its the more recent of the two and it has a better contrast ratio.
