Is LoL, Minecraft okay to play on a macbook pro??

So I got a new macbook pro 13" retina and I was just wondering if it would be able to handle games like LoL and Minecraft. I tried downloading LoL but my internet was just too slow and it already started fanning a little bit( probably because it's a big file).

Specs:
2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

You can easily play low to mid range games like minecraft, LoL i've never heard about though so I'm not sure about that game.

I play Minecraft on my 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display all the time and it runs pretty nicely. Unless you are used to playing with shaders enabled at 60+ fps then you should be fairly pleased with the performance!

I haven't tried LoL in a while on OS X but last time I gave it a go the Mac client was so buggy I couldn't actually play a full game without something crashing or going wrong. Maybe take a look on the LoL forums to see if people are still reporting similar issues.

I'm playing on my 2014mid macbook pro 15". 1650x1050 60fps high/medium settings. It can push 100fps when not capped. But when big fight is going on. 40minions 10champs, shiv crits everywhere. Then it drops to 40 50fps
