Is simple jack mic can be used to record a song?

I've Webcam + mic... i'm working on flstudio 10 producer edition. so i don't want high quality i just want that song should sound good atleast not worse..!

a mic input (pink?) would get it done. but may not be stereo, and you would have to becarefull what you plug into it. there would be a very low voltage present on one pin. i wouldnt plug you ipods headphones jack into it. you should have a line level input (blue) that is stereo has no output, and usually can handle a low volume headphones output.
