Is the application that tells you who visited your profile real?

Hello Everybody:

I saw on Facebook a new application that claims that it can tell the user who visited his profile, when, and how much "the visitor" has been there (profile).

I would like to know if it is even possible, or it's just one of those stupid non-working applications.

I gave it a try, but it wouldn't install or load onto my profile- it would just give me a blank screen. I'm thinking that it is a failed app.

There are many applications, which are basically the same - telling you who watched your profile.

The question however is, if it is even possible to do this kind of tracking? if so, isn't it a privacy violation?

After reading an article regarding this issue, I can say that as for today, there is definitively no way to know, by who and when your profile has been watched.
