I have a pc with a 7.1 channel audio sound card, I dont know if its good because it came with the pc itself. Anyway so i would like to buy a gsp 300 or gsp 350 headset, one uses 3.5mm connectors and one uses usb connection. Which one would have better mic clarity? Thanks

On your 3.5mm vs USB question, 3.5mm only supports stereo playback and mono record (two speakers + single mic). To get surround or 5.1 or 7.1 sound, you'll need USB (or another format like Toslink). Although it's possible to fake surround sound using stereo speakers (increase delay between the two channels more than you'd expect due to your head width), the results aren't as good and some people actually find it unpleasant.

I have the Xiberia E1 headset and the mic on that surprised me. at stock setting it was so sensitive it was picking up the sound coming from my earcups and transmitting that in chat. after fixing the settings they are awesome. this is the only headset I have first hand knowledge of and can suggest them, big comfy and sounds amazing.
