Hello there!

I have some cranky software that requires processor different from Intel Atom, but refuses to run on a 64 bit OS. And I need it to be installed on a tablet.

When running on something like celeron 1.3 gHz it is very slow and totally inconvenient.

So I need a tablet of great performance, but with 32 bit OS, which I couldn't have found yet.

The other way would be taking smth with i3/i5 like surface pro and trying to install 32bit Win8 on it. But as far as I know, it is really hard to be done cause of lack of suitable bios/drivers.

Please, advise, what could be done here.

Yes, they can become tablets. Once the keyboard is detached, the ultrabooks are essentially tablets.

The OP specifically said that he wants to install a 32bit OS. If he choose a model with more than 4 GB of ram, some of it will of course be disabled.
the asus transformer book tx300 is coming out soon
if you cant wait i think lenovo already has hybrids for sale
they are powerful, run 32 or 64 bit os, power hungry, and heavy ;P

This is an interesting device. But it's not easy to get and return it, considering the possibility of refusing to run the application. Unfortunately, the only analogue on Z-60, available around, costs 1.5k euros and has 64 bit win8.

Thank you, this is definitely an option. Quite pricey, but still.

That's not a tablet. Not only that, but running 32bit would disable some ram.
