Is there an avc hd editing system that works?

Hello Haveing just bought a panasonic hd camcorder i find there doesnt seem to be a good editing system for avchd which is what the camera produces. is there an efficient system out there. thanks Les H.

As far as I know Adobe should be doing a fine job of it, but then again that costs a bunch of dosh.
