Hi all,

I'm just wondering whether I would benefit from a 1080p display on a smartphone. I was considering getting the Google Nexus 5 but I also saw the Motorola Moto G for just under half the price.

The key difference is that the Nexus 5 has a 1080p display compared to the Moto G's 720p display. Both have a high "pixels per inch" count (300ppi +).

I just wanted some advice. I will only be watching youtube videos from time to time so is it worthwhile going for a 1080p display on a smartphone?

Please leave your suggestions below.

I have a nexus 4 which has 720p screen and i never felt the desire to upgrade it. It keeps me very happy. How ever i'd love to have the nexus 6 that is going to come, at the Q4 of this year, or at least that's what rumors say.

Thanks for the information. I now understand the differences more clearly.
