So, Is this a good laptop for gaming and other tasks ? : Dell Inspiron 17R Special Edition 7720 Turbo Laptop.

It's got a great processor and an average (but capable) video card. It's got a 1600x900 screen, but you'll probably have to game at 1280x720 to get good results with that GT 650M.

that is why i always get a desktop, but for those who need to be mobile, there's not much choice.

anyway, 650 is ok, and being 650m it will be slower than the desktop counterpart. so.. dont expect much and you will be fine

Well, My common resolution is 1366 x 768. So, can we reduce the resolution in windows and then game ?

you can, but things will be blurry. the best is still the native reso

You should be fine at 900p for most games. Heck a 650m can run many games at 1080p med.
