Is this chromebook for me?

I will use this for school work, so typing up papers and creating slideshows in Google Drive. Watching Youtube videos in 720p (60 fps if possible) And just general research and web browsing. I move from my mom's to my dad's weekly, and lugging my Gaming PC isn't the best option. Would this be a good choice for me to get?
