Question is unknown device in USB stack related to BT failure

I've got a failed device in my USB stack, and also Bluetooth failed. Are they related?
ASUS UX31E-DH52, Win 7 Home

I removed the Atheros BT bus and reinstalled it. That seemed to go OK. So I reinstalled the Intel ProSet for BT, which says to make sure the wireless adapter is installed. Needless to say the BT stack doesn't show up in device manager or network sharing.
