Issue with audio output on like new 15R Special Edition

Hey guys,

I just bought a pretty much mint condition Dell 15R Special Edition 7520. It's working great so far except for the audio output... the sound is fine on the built in speakers, but when I plug in some headphones, the sound turns to crap. I can't really describe it but it sounds so washed up and really low quality, even on my Audio-Technica ATHM50s which are awesome headphones and work really well on any other laptop.

Also, when I plug the headphones in, they don't go in that easily, there's a bit of resistance. I kind of have to force it a tad to go in all the way.

Finally, it gives me this message every time:

Any ideas?

Try to pull the headphone jack out a little bit. That's at least one of the known problems with the 15R

Yeah I did try that, doesn't make a difference in quality unfortunately.
