istart surf virus

I have windows 8.1 in my laptop. Recently a virus istartsurf was infected my laptop. the website istartsurf.com was the first site that used whenever i opened any of my web browsers. I didnt know until yesterday that it was a virus so i scanned it with AVG and removed it. However, now that i removed the virus, all my browsers have stopped working. After I open a browser, it just says firefox (chrome and internet explorer as well) has stopped working. Can any one help me fix this problem?

Did you try uninstall & re-install them again?
