Itunes+keyboard multimedia keys

I recently noticed that with the latest itunes 7, itunes doesnt want to let me to control via the keyboard multimedia controls if its minimized, or just not the active application.

Anyone else experiencing this?
Any suggestions?

Having the same problem, Win XP Pro and Gyration keyboard (no drivers).
