I've got a Samsung which i can't get to turn on.

I'm aware that the lcd is not working which I am going to replace provided I can get it to turn on. I have the laptop plugged directly into the wall with the charging cable, the green light is lit up on the charger box, and a power supply light turns on on front of the laptop when I plug the cord in. I then press the power button and a blue power light turns on for about 5 seconds but then nothing happens. No noise starts in the machine, fan is not spinning and no display comes up at all

Hi, first, what model do you have? Probably something is defective on the motherboard, try removing the RAM and HDD, if you have a ODD, remove it also. After starts the laptop to see if the power light will still remain on.
