Just done a clean install of Windows and still very slow laptop

I have a HP Pavilion DV2000 and I did a clean install of Windows XP because the laptop had become so slow but after the install, it hasn't really improved alot. It is still super slow and I feel like banging my head against it. Please could someone give me advice on what to do to make it faster?

What are the specs on it? CPU, RAM, etc.
