I have had my computer since may 28 2015, and I have had kaspersky 2015, steam, and curse all working fine. But now I have problems with curse and steam when I start up the computer. I cant automatically load both applications, I get popups from curse saying kaspersky is a potential incompatible program and I get a general connection issue from steam. But then I go to load them up manually and they work fine.

And I have been through kaspersky as much as I know how anyway and allowing steam and curse as trusted/startup applications so I have no idea why its messing up.

Update: This computer is connected to the main computer through an ethernet cord. I went down to shut off the main computer and came back up here just to try and see if it did anything, and it worked. My apps work with no issue and run smoothly. But I still need to know how to avoid that issue if the main computer is on because it usually is since it is the family computer and this one is my personal computer up in my room.

Buy a small router, and plug the internet connection into it, and then run an ethernet cable to each machine. Like yours is now, but to the router. Let the router handle what is coming or going to and from the internet.

If you have 2 computers, buy a small 4 port router. You might want to link a printer, or another computer someday.

I already have a router that was supplied by my internet provider and a little netgear router. I have the coax cable going into the buckeye router then an ethernet going out of it and into my netgear router and out of the netgear router and into the main computer. I plugged this (my personal computer) directly into the buckeye router and fed the line up to the computer. So yeah router situation I feel is covered.

I really dont know. The two computer are connected to two different routers but the routers are connected. I figured it was just network traffic or something.

Yeah im going to reduce them down to just one router and see if the problem persists.
