Keyboard Double Text When Charging

I recently bought a replacement charger with the same specs for my laptop but every time I charge it, the USB keyboard malfunctions and it types double letters. The main laptop keyboard is fine though.

What seems to be the problem? Would it harm the laptop? Should I stop using it?

That's bad. Stop using the laptop charger immediately and consider a replacement. Its likely given an incorrect amount of power to your laptop.
