Keyboard won't respond!

I spilled some of my smoothie on my laptop keyboard by accident the other night, and i quickly cleaned up the mess. My laptop did not crash or shut down, so i assume everything was fine. The next morning, I went on my laptop to do some work, and everything was working perfectly the first few minutes. However, later on, some of my keys on my keyboard began failing to work. I restarted my laptop, but then only 5 keys worked afterwards. After searching it up, i found that some warm water would do the trick.This helped a little, but the results are mostly still the same. Most of my numbers, letters dont work, and my caps lock, shift, backspace keys dont work! I cant use the keys on my keyboard to dim or brighten the brightness either. I want to save as much money as possible, any help?

Replace the keyboard. If that does not work, there could have been damage to the motherboard connection which means a new motherboard.
