Laptops usually have this resolution: 1366x768. So, if a laptop of mine has this resolution, and supposing I connect a full hd 16:9 monitor to it, will it function on that (full hd 1920x1080) resolution? (one laptop of mine has only an integrated video card with no dedicated video memory either and its screen resolution is 1366x768! (intel hd graphics 3000)

Solution
Yup, should be fine. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 should support 1920x1080 when using HDMI/DVI/VGA connections, so as long as the external monitor can display that, I think you're good.

Thank you very much!

(I am getting a laptop (model is: pavilion 1110-sh) which has intel hd graphics 3000 and i3 cpu with upgraded 8gb ram and I'm planning to connect external mouse, keyboard and monitor to it and use that laptop as a PC.)

I actually have an ultrabook with an i3 intel HD graphics and it works great on both my 1920X1200 spare monitor and I hook it up to my TV as a HTPC, that little i3 is a champ you should have no problems. (I highly recommend dropping an SSD into it and really make it shine)
