Laptop Adapter Problem

Hey,
My Laptop is DELL and recently i had a problem with its AC adapter.
the adapter is working and the green led is on, and when i connect it to the wall and the laptop the green led is still on and it's still working, but when i hit the power button the green led i the adapter is blinking once and the adapter is restarting and the laptop is not powering up .
I need to know which part of adapter's hardware needs to be replaced .

Good chance this will be power connector soldered on the motherboard, Dells have a history of them coming loose. You will need to strip it down. If under warranty, get Dell to replace motherboard.

you mean that the cable that connects to the laptop soldered on the motherboard of adapter ????
