laptop audio problem

there is some thing wrong with my lap top. perhaps audio problem?
all the windows sounds are ok but whenever i try to listen something the audio only include the background sounds only but no clear understandable voice is coming from the speakers. pllzzz any one tell me the solution

Look at the audio settings and make sure the volume is adjusted, and the R/L is balanced.

Try plugging in headphones and seeing if the issue persists. That will clue you in if it is a speaker issue, or audio software issue.
