Laptop Computer shuts off when AC Adapter is plugged in but works fine when battery is plugged in

It's been over a month now since this problem occurred. I have a Lenovo laptop g460.

The "AC adapter" on most laptops is actually its power supply. You have a bad power supply. Get a new "AC adapter" from Lenovo.

Is this your original laptop?If not,I think you have a bad one.
You can take your adapter into someone else's computer to try. Or take someone else's adapter into your computer.
