laptop cpu dead?

HP ENVY 15j000 a10 5750m
took the fan out to clean it put the fan back in CPU isn't responding (caps lock blinks once every 30s or so) fan works fine starts low goes fast then stays fast no hd light... it was working fine before i cleaned it id rather not buy a new cpu what do? Cpu still warms up while it sits there doing nothing

Hi,

If you see lights and the fans spins try connecting an external monitor first just to see if it would display anything from it because if you do there might just be a loose connection between the display and the motherboard. But if this will not work also to try another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will boot up. Lastly, you may need to retrace all the steps you did to tare-down the laptop because you might just have missed something when you were putting it back together.
