Hey friends,
A very dear friend of mine wanted to buy a laptop but also with tablet features and the budget is max $800 or Rupees 45,000.
So please quickly suggest me some of the best laptop cum tablets and their price too. And please its a special request, to answer it fast as I've only 12 hrs more to reply her. Please share ur best of the knowledge and help me out. Thanks.

yep laptop with touchscreen but tablet features too. Now i've never owned a tablet so don't know much about it. But please try to understand more of laptop with tablet features and price max $800

I don't really know what exact features she wants but that one has touch, windows 8 for gesture stuff, an ultra book so its light, ssd so cold boots shouldn't be long.

Can't really think of anything else that would be tablet like.

what about microsoft surface. it has 2 versions right. surface pro and RT. So are they available under$800 and if not then she also asked about the best type of ipad that she can get till $800. But ipad doesn't have any single feature of a laptop right. but please still reply

Well the surface and ipad are tablets.

Pro is around 1 grand, rt is at ~500. Other than that I don't know much about tablets, they aren't my market at all. (never saw a use for one or could afford to spend money on that kind of toy)

I don't have time to check for alternatives right now but thats probably what I would grab.

She is a prime candidate for the Surface Pro - full Win8 w/ touchscreen. If not the Surface Pro, I would browse the leading ultrabooks and see what your budget can handle. The ASUS' Zenbook touch (UX31A) would be a really good option as well - they have a new version that will be releasing soon that is thinner and uses a Haswell processor but I am not sure when the release date will be. If you don't need to pull the trigger soon, that is what I would buy. The Lenovo Yoga 11 would be a good option as well - hinge pivots from laptop to tablet mode and is a fairly reliable option. Dell is also building an 11" XPS model that will be a direct competitor with the Yoga.

okies thank you all. She seems satisfied and didn't asked for anything more after I recommended her Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 11s. So that should be it. Thank you mouse24 and 'game junky'.
