laptop does not turn on

My laptop screen goes black when i switch on and the red light blinks on the power LED light,
WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS?

if it has a red light that blinks it means your laptop's battery is dead so you would either need to charge it with the AC adapter or you need a new battery
