Laptop doesnt turn on

Charged my laptop then it sparked the lcd flashed then went out
. .a while after i tried charging again , charging led light on.but while pressing power button charging led light goes out.release power button led charging light goes back on...what could b wrong?

Spark is not good, could be anything from a bad charger, bad jack or dead motherboard. Remove the battery and wall power, hold in the power button for 30 seconds, plug in wall power only and see if it turns on. If it does, plug in battery and turn it on again see if that also works. If neither thing works, you can try removing the internal CMOS battery also along with the normal battery, hold in power button again for 30 seconds, then try to turn on the system on wall power only with no CMOS battery. If it turns on and stays on fro a bit, turn it off, replace the CMOS battery and try things again normally. If nothing works, you probably need to replace the motherboard or at least the charger port.
