Laptop fan making a weird grinding noise.

Probably a week or two ago my fan began to make a weird grinding noise. It shortly stopped and I completely forgot about it. Yesterday it began to do it again and I'm not sure how I can fix it. I have an Aspire E 15.

Sounds like it wants to be replaced. There is no magic, no software fix. Pay to have it clean and replaced or find some youtube video to DIY if you are brave.

Ive had this laptop since late 2017, you think its time to get the fan replaced? If so: 1. How much will it cost? 2. Is it safe to continue using my laptop until I get the fan cleaned/replaced?
