Laptop for game development, programming and rendering?

Hi guys, I'm going to study International Game Architecture and Design, so i need a beefy laptop. Form factor is also import as it needs to be easy to carry around all day. Thanks in advance.

Alienware is probably the best gaming Laptop out there. At least they seem to understand gaming unlike most of the companies that seem to create "gaming" laptops.

I think the Alienware 15 is a bit too thick and heavy to carry around all day. Isn't there something like 20mm thick and not too expensive?
Also it isn't all about gaming. The laptop should be a portable workstation, that handles almost everything I throw at it.

Well, I was tempted to call IBM and ask them to squeeze a Z-series mainframe into a 22mm form for you, but its Sunday night, and I figured nobody would be there to take the call.

So I went looking for some links to feed you because you have entered a realm that I never have. And what I think on these would just be based on what is written in these reviews, and not from experience.

I like the comments this site made in a 5 workstation laptop roundup... The HP seems to have been their favorite for a lot of reasons.

Thank you for your reply, but those laptops' graphic performance is a bit on the low side of things.
I been looking myself and these laptops grabbed my attention (the websites are Dutch though):

I can recommend you MSI as the best laptop manufacturer in my opinion.
I currently own a GT70 with GTX 870M and I'm completely satisfied. a great laptop which is a lot cheaper than the Alienwares and Asus's laptops.
The GT72 has 17.1 inch screen and GTX 980M which is the most powerful mobile GPU at the moment. check it out.

I don't know what to say. I am getting this impression that you want an IBM Z-Series mainframe in a nice little thin laptop. And about the only thing I can say to that is come back in 10 years.
