Hello, please guys, i am thinking, which one i should get..., someone offered me ( used one ) :

HP Elitebook 8560W

i7-2720QM
8GB RAM
500GB HDD
nVidia Quadro 1000M 2GB
15,6" 1920x1080 TN

and

ThinkPad Edge E540

i5-4200M
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
GeForce GT 740M 2GB
15.6" 1920x1080 TN

Lenovo one is just little bit cheaper, i am not sure which one i should get. sadly, no IPS panel ( i guess i can change that later, broke now ), they're more expensive, but still, good panels ( notebookchecks said ). Maybe the HP cpu is faster, but Lenovo have better graphic card ? Dunno, HP is heavier, i just want to watch movies, which one is better pick ? Thanks

Since you're already spensing 350 USD, you can look for new laptops. Since they'll have one year warranty they'll give you peace of mind. Also, if you're getting them used you should trust the source and know that genuine parts have not been replaced with cheaper ones.

You can look at Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM 15.6-Inch FHD Notebook (Intel Core i3-7100U 7th Generation , 4GB DDR4, 1TB 5400RPM HD, Intel HD Graphics 620, Windows 10 Home), Obsidian Black

Or best wait for Black Friday. You'd be able to get 400$ Laptops at your price range. They wont2 include OS but you can use Ubuntu or check if your college provides OS Keys.

Out of these two, I would go with ThinkPad. Those things are built like a tank. In fact, I am using a 6 Year Old T420. Also 4th Gen i5 will consume less power than 2nd Gen i7 (which is an overkill anyway for watching movies. Even i5 is.) 1000M is better than 740M but it is really of no use while watching movies. Both are more than enough capable of playing 4K Movies.

Also, what price are you getting those for? Since Black Friday is coming up, maybe you can get a new laptop at same price?

Thank you for fast response, yeah, its also more space for movies.
8560W for 345 USD and E540 for 320 USD.
Yeah all i want is fast OS running and movies :)

8560w should have better panel, but.. if battery will die in few hours, its useless.
So the Lenovo i guess
