I am upgrading from an HP Pavilion dv6000t - Intel C2D 2GHz T7200, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 15" screen, Nvidia GeForce Go 7400
11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them.
The HDX18t I customized has a Core 2 Extreme QX9300, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 18" screen 1920x1080, 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT130M blue-ray drive, bluetooth, etc.
12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
My current HP laptop has been very reliable so I am pretty sure I want to go with HP as the new HP HDX is compatible with alot of my accessories. Alienwares seem overpriced and Dell doesn't seem to have a deal quite like the one I found.
13_What country do you live in?
USA
A few of my own questions:
I am looking for an all around upgrade to my current HP and I am giving it to my sister. Basically, with the specs that I posted in my current machine compared to the new HDX, do you think I will see a significant improvement in what I want to do/good price and value? Also, would a C2 extreme (quad core) be appropriate processor or is it a waste of money if I don't overclock. The gfx cards they are allowing me to choose from are the 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT - For DDR2 Memory or for $100 more the 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 130M - For DDR3 Memory. Customized the way I mentioned above it would cost $2500 shipped. I am sorry this is so much information but please give me your honest opinions.
