Laptop for programming and video processing

MacBook Pro 15 2015 vs Dell XPS 15 2016 - which one should I choose, pros/cons of those two?

I will be using it during my IT studies at the University as well as at work later on (as a programmer), sometimes some video processing (adobe after effects) and seldom for gaming.

They are very different, for more program compatibility, the XPS is better, will run more software.
