Hi, I am currently studying Computer Science and in the upcoming September I will be starting my final year in my University. I am looking for a 15.6" laptop (between 900€-1100€), but I can't decide if I should choose a dual core one, which is much smaller, compact and with less power consumption, or should I sacrifice the size of it and pick a quad-core. Also I don't know if I should get it with a SSD just right out of the box or install it myself later.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You might need more core performance for what you are getting into. Better go for a quad core. It will last you longer too.
