Laptop freeze 5 minutes after i open it

I bought an acer aspire e14 4 months ago. I have downloaded so many movies and never face any problems before with my previous laptop. I constantly check the temperature and never gone overheated. Now, my laptop will always freeze 5 to 10 minutes after i open or restart it. I use windows 10 now. Every month i will defrag it and scan for viruses but nothing came up. Oh and recently i noticed a cricking sound but slow on the right side of it. The cricking soud won't be heard unless u put it close to your ears. Please help me

Start your laptop in "safe" mode and see how it runs. If it doesn't freeze then you have a software conflict. Keep me informed

Yes, I have tried it on safe mode and nothing happen to the laptop but my sound system cannot operated. Is it normal? Oh and thank god yesterday night, my laptop is okay after I ran disk clean up but I'm worried it happened again in the future

Yeah, in safe mode Windows only loads the "must have" apps and programs to run. Sound is not considered a "must have" for operation.

Problems like what you experienced are not unusual when using Windows OS
