This has been happening for a long time. I have opened up the laptop to see if there were any loose wires but they all seemed okay, and I also cleaned out any dust with some compressed air cans. I have also given it a factory reset but still the same problem.

Now the issue is that after this happens, at random times I will get the BSoD and it will say 'BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER'. I have made sure everything is up to date on the laptop. Sometimes it goes for days without a BSoD, sometimes it happens many times in one day.

Bare in mind the laptop was bought back in 2012, but I don't see a reason to why it would do that.

What are your thoughts on what it might be? I'm tempted on taking it to repair.

Edit: I have a SAMSUNG - NP550P7C

Solution
Well I put in an SSD and installed Windows 10 on it, and it seems to have fixed the problem. So either Windows 7 was being weird or the HDD it was on was faulty.
