Hello everyone!!!
I have a Dell XPS m1530. When I turn it on, screen wont work, not even a ghost image or backlight on LCD.
I tried it on external VGA monitor, and it is working normally, I did some tests while it's on external monitor on nVidia graphics with FurMark testing software, it was working for a half an hour until I stopped it, eveything normal.

Also, it shows normally on nVidia control center and in Device manager. (I uploaded some photos)

I tried to boot up with D key pressed (LCD BIST test), it does change colors on LCD.
I also tried Dell diagnostic problems, it shows error in picture link bellow

Can you guys tell me what could be a problem?
Does graphic chip works for sure (because this model have known nVidia chip problem)?
If some of those work, how I can test rest of hardware to determine what is wrong?
Thank you all in advance!!!

Hi, "Does LCD BIST test (color changing on display) means that inverter and video cable works?", the inverter is working, but for the cable, a part of it, is working from the test.

From the PSA test, the motherboard doesn't receive the ID from the screen, the problem is coming maybe from the screen, or the cable, or something on the motherboard itself.

You could try if you didn't try it already, is to remove the cable from the screen and reconnect it, maybe you have a bad connection, and the problem is coming from that.

Thank you for helping me mate. What I'm not really clear about is that "if laptop is working normally on external VGA monitor, does it means that nVidia graphic chip is working fine"?
If graphic chip is OK, than only thing to try would be video cable.
Some guys thinks that laptop can work normal on external VGA monitor even if nVidia graphic chip is not good.
What do you think about it?
Thanks a lot for your help.

"if laptop is working normally on external VGA monitor, does it means that NVIDIA graphic chip is working fine"
no.

"Some guys thinks that laptop can work normal on external VGA monitor even if NVIDIA graphic chip is not good."
could be true.

Some GPU are not connected directly to the VGA port and LVDS port, it pass through another chip.

The NVIDIA chip in your case is directly connected to those ports, but you could have a part of the chip who cannot output a good signal to the screen.

But coming back to your problem, did you reseated the cable for the screen?
