Laptop hdmi port

I was wondering as it might be a stupid question, is it there adapter that changes laptop hdmi output to input or maybe for ps4?
I want to plug in my ps4 to my laptop through hdmi cable but both the console and the laptop seems to have hdmi output's is there any maybe adapter that converts hdmi from output to input for laptop ir even for ps4

No such device exists. Your best bet would be to find something like a USB HD capture device.

Hello.

There's no way for you to change an HDMI port on the laptop into an input. It is set to OUT only. Only a few select video cards have HDMI inputs, and those are usually very expensive. (Quattro, etc)

If your laptop has USB3.0 though, your options are increased. You can use this:

D-sub is the same, sadly. We've all wanted what you want as some point. A laptop only has outputs, images only go one way: out. The only way to have the picture from HDMI/dsub on your screen is through USB.

Or this will only work if the device i would be plugging into would have hdmi input
I really don't want to buy the device that u sent me it's pretty costly i could even buy a new monitor then

No, that device is to plug an extra monitor to your laptop, not make a monitor out of your laptop. It will not work.

HDMI to USB3.0 converters are all pretty expensive. That's the lowest priced one I've seen and its not very good either...

You are exactly right, buying an small cheap TV or a monitor would be a better solution.
