Hi, my Acer Aspire V17 Nitro laptop isn't detecting my new HyperX Cloud headset's microphone, but it detects the headphone part of it. I go to my recording devices tab in my sound and check disabled and disconnected devices and it only shows the internal mic and the stereo mix. In the box, it came with a splitter and that's what I inserted into my headphone/mic jack so I don't know..

Thanks,
Chris :)

Hi,

Please do try to uninstall/reinstall the sound card driver that may help.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the sound card driver.
- Once uninstalled reboot the laptop and test the microphone again.
- Right click on the speaker icon and select Recording Devices.
- Check weather if your Hyper X Microphone will be listed, right click on it and select Set Default.
- Click Apply and OK then test if it will work or not.

That didn't help but thank you, the HD Audio Manager thing popped up and asked what I just plugged in and I chose headset, but that didn't do anything either..
