My laptop is an Acer Aspire V3-772G, the GTX 760m variant.
Recently I've been having a lot of processor problems, including turning off due to overheating when gaming.
I've checked using Realtemp, idle is low 70's and gaming is high 80's, sometimes 90's..
It constantly underclocks itself to 800mhz when it heats up, and stays there, making games very hard to play. The laptop is always on a flat surface.
What could have caused this? I'm thinking of opening it and replaing the thermal paste as I have some spare Artic Silver. If anyone has a guide for this, please, let me know.
Here's a RealTemp picture, along with FRAPs. It shows the weird clock speed and temps I get.
An even better example;
