I have the latest windows 10 update on the MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro Laptop and I've updated all the drivers and such relating to my keyboard.

Recently, the F and R keys, 0, 9 and delete keys functionality has been dropping but they work perfectly if i'm holding shift. Is there any known fix or did I mess up reseating the ribbon cable last time I cleaned out the fans? Mainly they either wont respond unless pressed very hard or they type after a second of actuation. I'm fairly certain my keyboard is clear since those keys work perfectly whilst shift is depressed.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have an external keyboard to check whether it's a software or a hardware issue?

You can try:
  1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
  2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
  3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

You may also try updating the Synaptics Driver if the above doesn't help.

Additionally, the problem may be in malware or viruses so you'd better check your device.
