I have the lenovo G700 and yesterday some keys on my keyboard have stopped working (Space, t, y, n left shift and backspace) I tried removing the battery and holding the power button for 1min and i took off the caps and cleaned the mechanism but it still wont work ?

Try this...

1. Uninstall the keyboard driver.
2. Reboot the computer (without reinstalling the driver).
3. When it restarts, it should reinstall the driver on its own.

If this doesn't work, you may wish to try connecting an external keyboard and see if it works fine. If it does, then it could be the keys themselves that are the issue.

Thanks for the help but in the end, it seems to be a mechanical problem..
I tried:
Reinstalling the drivers
Removing all power from the system (removing power supply and battery and holding power button for 60 sec)
Prising open the keys and cleaning the dust out

In the end, I brought a 2nd hand keyboard for £1.50 !
It's not too bad as I'm in the process of building a new desktop.

Thanks for the help :)
