Laptop keyboard spamming 1 and Q by itself

My laptop's keyboard keeps spamming 1. It used to spam Q, but now it spams 1. Also, I can't press 1 anymore. Please help.

I'm planning to get a separate keyboard soon, and just attach it to my laptop. But I will have to disable my laptop's keyboard somehow. Good idea?

Worth noting: the keyboard got spilled by water with soap last month, thus stopping Q and some other keys from working (except for 1, because it was just working fine yesterday). Although, I don't think this is the problem anymore.

Some of that water probably got onto the key contacts and is shorting them out.
You most likely will have to replace the keyboard, or at least disconnect it.
Generally keyboards connect to the motherboard with a ribbon cable that just easily be unplugged.

Yeah, I'm planning to disable the keyboard somehow and get a new keyboard (but not a laptop keyboard) and just connect it whenever I'm going to use it. Lol, I know what it looks like because I have disconnected my keyboard once xd
