Hi all,

I recently changed a screen in my laptop and it broke when I had to remove the bezel the double sided tape pulled on the screen and subsequently created damage..

Now is it a case of it will break every time or can you do something in order to remove the bezel safely without any damage to the screen underneath

Solution
The parts are not per-say designed to break, but certainly not designed to last years of usage and teardowns.

Its 2017, today's market/masses mindset is that you should buy a new computer if you want more ram or other minor hardware upgarde
Which laptop specifically?

It's not so much "made to break", but generally speaking, they're not made to be opened up/upgraded/repaired without extreme care (beyond anything accessible via a simple "cover" like RAM or HDD).

Exactly how you *should* have removed the bezel to avoid damage likely isn't well documented 'officially', but places like iFixit usually have teardowns / "how tos" and things to watch out for.
