I have Dell Inspiron 15-7000 series with Windows 10. I have been experiencing an issue after a a windows update was interrupted in between that now whenever I power on the laptop I hear beeping sounds ranging from sometimes 5 to sometimes 15 beeps.
This occurs only on startup and overall the system works fine, but this is a cause of irritation every time logging in,and a nuisance if I am in my office .

Any help regarding the issue will be appreciated :)

Hello!
Many computers use beeps on startup to alert the user to some sort of error. By doing a quick google search for your laptop model along with "beep codes" you can come up with a chart decoding what the beeps mean. In your case, here is the beep code chart for your laptop (see section 11):

Assuming you receive 5 beeps (I would double check this before you continue) it looks like you need to replace the CMOS battery. Luckily this is a pretty easy process, just need to unscrew the back of the laptop and replace a little watch battery. Please see this link:

Find the "Removing the Coin-Cell Battery" section and follow the steps. If you are uncomfortable doing this, and the laptop is still under warranty, Dell will likely be able to send someone and do it for you.

Hope I could help!
