Laptop Modding: Putting a Lenovo Y510P keyboard into a Lenovo G505

I was just looking to add some flare to my laptop and its relatively plain appearances. From the looks of Lenovo's keyboard system it seems fairly modular. Meaning that I may be able to put a Y510P keyboard (the one with the red backlighting) into my G505. The keyboard units themselves are the same in size and dimension and connections are all fairly the same (from the pictures I've seen of both online).

I'm not really afraid of getting down and dirty with my hardware but I'd like a second opinion. Anyone have any experience with Lenovo's laptop keyboards and switching them out?

Hi, like yoyomah20 said, if you have the right connector you can try, but if you want to change the keyboard to add the backlighting, the G505 laptop doesn't have the connector to power the backlight.

I'm looking around inside and it has a few extra plugins here and there. May not be able to do this anyway since a Y510P keyboard module on ebay is pretty rare and I've only seen one and its $90.
