laptop not charging

1) the laptop doesn't power on with or without a battery
2) A light which would indicate that the laptop is plugged into the ac adapter.
3) the battery charge light is also is orange color on slow flashing mode when the ac adapter is plugged in , which would indicate the battery is being charged.

Very likely a bad motherboard if there is no life at all to the system aside from the battery life. Did you try new RAM maybe? Also hold in the power button for 30 seconds with the battery out and no wall power, try it again.
