Laptop not recognizing cd rom drive

Hi, im trying to do wipe in my hardrive before installing a fresh copy of windows 7, i was able to burn the dban iso into a cd, it was fine, but when i restart and try booting from cd, it simply does not detect any cd, i tried with other cds, ramdon cds, like some original OS cds of restauration i have here, none of them are detected. But in windows the cd room drive works fine, what could it be? I dont have a pen drive to run dban from it unfortunaly, so my only chance is from cd, or is there a software which is possible to schedule to run it alone after restarting, does it exist, anyone knows? Any solution is helpful thanks alot.
