Solved! laptop on baterry power when plugged in

My HP250 G6 appears to be on rapidly diminishing battery power when plugged in. Battery is only charged when lid is down.

Could be the battery, could be the the charger. I would try testing another charger on it, if you can find one that has the same specs, and see if it works normally. If it does, then your charger needs replacing. If, however, the same problem occurs, then you need to replace your battery.
