how old is this laptop?
replaced battery = new battery? or just removed and put back the old one?

if its a new battery that cannot power your laptop, then you have an issue with the power unit switch inside the laptop, that requires a return for repair.
if its an old battery then it could be a case of battery death, fully discharging a battery is hazardous to its health; esp if youre still drawing power from it after its 0% ,as in: its still in your laptop/phone/etc as these devices use a minute amount of power to remain in a 'zero' power state (drawing power to allow non mechanical switches to operate) - basically a spuer low power standby state. anyhow, any draw that reduces the power below 0% will effectively kill a lithium, only a balancer (special recharger) can rescue it. = get a new battery.

What's the power unit switch. I have a Toshiba satellite L50-B-1NX. Please help, I spent 50 pounds already

How do I clean the batter connectors or troubleshoot without a multimeter?

The battery shows up in Windows as plugged in charging.
